The Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership (KAMP), was formed on 1 April 2017 from the Marlborough Medical Practice and Pewsey Surgery, to provide primary care services to around 18,000 patients. Our staff are based over two sites, and our patients can access services at either location.
The decision to merge followed the departure of Drs Abi and Lyndon Griffiths, the retirement of Dr Hanson, a reduction in the availability of Dr Ring and the continued struggle to recruit new doctors. As a result of these changes, we have had to redistribute patient numbers across the remaining doctors. Letters of explanation have already been received by those patients affected by this change.
We continue to recruit clinical staff to join the team. Please be aware, primary care is in crisis; GPs are in very short supply in Wiltshire as they are across the country. Our enthusiastic team is proud to have faced this crisis head on in order to preserve your GP Surgery in Kennet and Avon.
