A large group of over-80 year olds has been invited to Covid Vaccination clinics, the first of which is planned for this week. The uptake has been fantastic and nearly 1000 patients have booked into these clinics which were almost full after just 6 hours!
Further over-80s will be invited to clinics as soon as we have confirmation of the delivery date of the next batch of vaccine. We will be inviting other groups of patients in order of priority according to NHS England Guidelines (for further information see the coronavirus vaccine information on the NHS website). Remember that vaccinating everyone who is eligible will be a marathon rather than a sprint with the programme expected to last well into 2021.
Patients are asked to wait for their invitation and not to ring the surgery. Updates on the vaccination programme will be published regularly on this website and on Facebook.

The East Kennet group of GP surgeries includes Burbage, The Old School Surgery Great Bedwyn, Ramsbury and Wanborough Surgery and The Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership (Pewsey and Marlborough). This group has signed up to the National Covid Vaccination Programme to enable our patients to receive their vaccines locally rather than in large regional centres. The first local clinics will be held in Ramsbury Surgery with further clinics planned at other surgeries in the group.
